Welcome to my warm, nurturing space. Im Fran, a BACP-accredited counsellor offering support to adults and young people aged 16 and over, working remotely across the UK. Here, you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, gain fresh perspectives, and feel supported through lifes ups and downs.
About me and my practice
Do you feel like youre carrying too much emotionally, physically, or mentally? Maybe youre experiencing burnout from work or caring responsibilities, adjusting to a recent diagnosis, or struggling with identity or self-worth. It can be exhausting to hold it all together, especially when you feel like you have to manage it on your own. Sometimes, its hard to even know where to start or how to ask for help.
I welcome clients from a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and experiences. I am a committed ally to LGBTQIA+ communities and work with neurodivergent individuals, including people with ADHD and autism. I also support clients living with chronic illness, disability, or sight loss, and I understand the effect these can have on relationships, self-esteem, and daily life. My approach is inclusive, respectful, and shaped around what matters most to you.
As a Black British Caribbean woman with lived experience of health challenges, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my work. I know that lifes difficulties can affect not only your emotional wellbeing but also your sense of identity, connection, and belonging. This awareness shapes the way I work: with empathy, patience, and a focus on helping you reconnect with your strengths.
In our sessions, you will find a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. We might explore patterns in your relationships, unhelpful thoughts or behaviours, and the ways past experiences influence your present. We will move at your pace, with room to pause, reflect, and make sense of your feelings. Together, we can work on building coping strategies that feel achievable and authentic for you.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you start therapy. All you need to do is come as you are. Whether youre feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for change, you are welcome here. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Experience
I am a trauma-informed integrative counsellor with experience providing both brief and open-ended Talking Therapy. I have supported clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and with diverse life experiences. My training includes Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA), allowing me to adapt sessions to your individual needs.
I work with adults and young people aged 16 and over who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-confidence issues, or other emotional challenges. My own lived experience with a sensory impairment gives me unique insight into how lifes difficulties can affect mental health, and it shapes my compassionate, client-focused approach.
Throughout my work, I have helped clients to develop effective coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and build resilience. I am committed to providing an inclusive and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Together, we can work towards greater wellbeing and self-acceptance.
