I offer both short term and long term counselling and psychotherapy and I see people who have a wide range of issues. I have a lot of experience in working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress and bereavement. I also work with people who are not sure whats wrong, but know that something isnt right, and they want a space to think about this and work through their feelings.
About me and my practice
I offer a space to help you think about what is going on in your life. Therapy can be about making sense of the past and your feelings about it. Sometimes its about thinking about what is going on in the present and how you can move forward. I can help you unblock feelings and think about who you are and where you want to be in your life. Therapy is a two way process. I will be there to listen and help you to get to a better place.
Experience
I am widely experienced in voluntary, statutory and educational settings. Ive worked in the NHS as a Senior Psychotherapist, and as an Associate Tutor and Supervisor on the MA in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Leicester. I have worked in private practice seeing clients privately since 2012.
In addition to being a senior accredited member of the BACP, I am also a registrant of The British Psychoanalytic Council.
I am registered with several insurance providers, including Bupa, AXA, First Health and Aviva.
I serve on several committees in my professional field.
Qualifications
MSc Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, Birkbeck College, University of London, 2012
I also hold 3 academic degrees: BA (Hons) First Class, MSt, and a PhD.
