I offer individual psychotherapy. Psychotherapy helps you to find the deeper cause of your psychological distress. The therapy will help you explore the inner world of your psyche,that which is hidden from consciousness, this is why we call it the unconscious. Whatever it maybe that is causing you psychological distress often the roots of it are deep in the unconscious. Psychotherapy is not so much about a problem solving approach, it much more about psychological healing.
About me and my practice
I offer psychotherapy on line as well as in person. I am in Kent, but I see people from all over the UK. As a psychotherapist my role is to help you explore your inner world, and find the real meaning of your life. It is about the most important relationship you have, the relationship with yourself. It also involves exploring the most significant relationships you have experienced. Relationships with parents, siblings, partners, any relationship that has had an emotional impact on your life. This is done in a compassionate,caring, therapeutic relationship. I work with individuals who have experienced terrible childhood abuse and neglect and I understand the profound psychological damage this causes them, even into adulthood. I use dreams as a way of helping you to discover the deeper aspects of your psyche. The psychotherapy I do is to help you bring about a deeper level of psychological healing and in this way find real inner peace and meaning in your life.
I also do short term psychotherapy. This is most effective in helping with a specific life event for example bereavement, relationship breakdown, serious health problems.
Experience
I trained as a social worker and worked as a psychiatric/mental health social worker for 17 years in SE London. I then trained as a Jungian/Analytic Psychotherapist with the Guild for Analytic Psychology. I worked as a manager of a Psycho-Social Care Team in a hospice, providing psychological therapy for patients and families.
I work in my own private practice here in Kent, seeing people from all over the UK
I qualified in 2007, I have experience of working with individuals from all backgrounds and life styles.
Qualifications
1 CQSW, ( Certificate of Qualification in Social Work)
2 Dip in Social Work
3 Diploma in Analytic Psychology.

I am passionate about making psychotherapy available to all those who need it. I offer affordable psychotherapy to those who can not afford the standard fee. I am the referral psychotherapist for the Inner City Centre Psychotherapy.
The Inner City Centre Psychotherapy is a co operative of psychotherapist who aim to make psychotherapy available to all who need it.
In addition to psychotherapy I offer bereavement therapy for those individuals who are experiencing complex and complicated grief following a bereavement.

Initial Consultation
You can contact me via email or phone. Do leave a message and I will reply within 5 working days. I offer an initial consultation, fee of charge, so you can discuss what it is you are looking for how I can help you. This consultation will be a time for you to reflect on why you are seeking therapy and what you want to get out of it. We can then decide what is the best therapy for you. I never charge for this initial consultation. It is about you beginning your psychological healing.
Fees
My standard fee is £50.
I offer reduced fee of £35.
