I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your

About me and my practice
My approach blends psychology, art therapy and lived experience helping you to build a toolbox of strategies to help you feel listened to, seen, supported and inspired. Whatever you're facing, it's natural to feel overwhelmed. You may feel stuck, unsure of where to turn, or wondering if things can really change. If this resonates with you, I want you to know - you are not alone.
My journey into counselling and coaching was shaped by my own life experiences navigating loss, trauma, neurodiversity, disability and chronic pain. These struggles taught me valuable lessons about resilience, healing and the importance of a supportive space where you can be truly seen and heard. Now, I'm passionate about using my knowledge and experience to help others move forward with confidence and clarity.
I believe that every person is unique, and there's no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to mental health and well-being. That's why I take an integrative approach, blending a variety of evidence-based techniques such as CBT, person-centred, psychodynamic, ACT, and creative approaches to best suit your needs.
My approach isn't just about working through challenges - it's about unlocking your strengths. Often, we focus so much on our struggles, we forget about our resilience, skills, and potential. During our sessions, I can help you identify your strengths to help you lead a more fulfilling life.
Whether you're looking for counselling to understand yourself better, wanting a safe space where you can process uncomfortable emotions, or a combination of both, I am here to support and empower you every step of the way.
Experience
I have been counselling since 2022 at a domestic abuse charity. The main issues I worked with are PTSD, trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, grief and neurodiversity.
I have lived experience of neurodiversity as my brother and daughter are autistic. I have experiences with loss, caregiving, disability and chronic health challenges -
particularly chronic pain and gynaecological conditions. These struggles have shaped me and given me the tools to move beyond limitations - tools I'd love to share with you.
Since February 2023, I have also been counselling online for clients who are given sessions through their employers (EAPs). Common issues were stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement and chronic pain.
I worked as an Assistant Psychologist, administering assessment questionnaires and assisting in the diagnosis of ADHD, ASD and Trauma.
For 3 years, I worked as a Coach for Brain in Hand. I managed a caseload of 50 neurodiverse clients, identifying barriers and building tailored strategies using solution-focused and person-centred approaches. I collaborated with clients and their families to overcome challenges and develop coping strategies.
Prior to this I worked for Derbyshire County Council as a Mental Health Support Worker. This involved supporting individuals with complex needs to gain independence and increase well-being.
Before this I was a Special Needs Teacher in a variety of schools for children aged 4-16 which I did for 15 years.
