Miranda is my given name but I am mostly known as Millie - you are welcome to call me by either name. My work is rooted in deep respect for each person's innate wisdom and capacity for change under the right conditions. I aim to offer a calm, steady environment where you can feel safe enough to explore the parts of yourself that may be hidden, silenced, or left misunderstood.
About me and my practice
Rather than fixing, I walk alongside helping untangle patterns, soften self-judgment, and build emotional resilience. Through curiosity, honesty and compassion, I support clients in reconnecting with their own clarity, strength, and sense of possibility.
I offer short or long term psychotherapy or counselling, analysis or mind/life coaching. My approach is compassionate but gently challenging. Together, we explore patterns and protective strategies that may once have helped you but are now limiting your connections, confidence, or sense of ease in yourself.
My aim is not simply to help you cope, but to support lasting change building self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a more authentic way of relating to yourself and others. If this aligns with your needs or you would like to learn a little more, please feel free to send me an email and we can open the conversation.
Experience
I have over 500 hours of clinical experience, providing psychotherapy and counselling to a range of clients via a registered charity, a private London clinic and my own private practice.
I have worked with university students age 18+ as part of my training, and some of the charity Listening Post's more complex-case clients suffering from severe trauma and mental health needs.
I was the Team Leader for an NHS-funded project - Forest REACH - offering a no-charge therapy service for local individuals in need of complex PTSD and trauma support.
I have experience with clients working through neurodiversity, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss, grief and bereavement, and uncertainty for the future.
Qualifications
I am a BACP-registered psychotherapist and counsellor with an MSc (4 year training course) and 500+ hours of clinical experience.
I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and am insured to practice globally (excl. USA/Canada)
I engage regularly in continued professional development and ongoing supervision.

Initial Consultation
Our first session is an initial consultation. I am happy to offer this at a reduced fee of £35 if you are feeling unsure, as it provides us with an opportunity to get a sense of whether we would like to work together.
This first meeting provides space for you to share what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work. If it feels right for you, we will begin to identify some loose key aims or areas of focus, which can be reviewed and adapted as our work develops.
If we decide to progress, I will then send you a therapeutic agreement, which we both commit to, and I will ask you to read and ensure you understand the payment and cancellation terms before ongoing sessions begin. If you wish, we can also agree a regular weekly day and time for sessions.
Therapy, coaching or counselling is usually most effective when sessions are held weekly, with the option to then move to fortnightly sessions if this feels sufficient and appropriate for both of us.
Fees
My standard fee is £60 per session, but I will offer concessions to students or individuals on a low annual income, which can be discussed in our initial consultation.
When I Work
My work hours are flexible to a certain degree and depending on how many clients I am seeing at any time. Late evening does not tend to be a suitable time of day for therapy, due to low energy levels, so I advise avoiding this if possible.
