Im a BACP-accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor offering online therapy to adults across the UK and Europe. I work with people experiencing grief and loss, sadness, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life changes, overwhelm, or times when life simply doesnt feel right. My approach is relational and integrative, with particular experience in bereavement, grief and the losses and changes that can affect us deeply.
About me and my practice
Life can feel difficult for all sorts of reasons. You might be feeling sad, lonely, overwhelmed or just not quite like yourself. Perhaps something has happened a relationship has changed or ended, someone you love has died, life has taken a direction you didn't expect, or something from your past has come back to the surface.
Or perhaps there isn't one obvious reason. Things might look fine from the outside, while inwardly you're struggling. You may be hard on yourself in ways other people don't see, question your decisions, worry about getting things wrong, or find criticism difficult to shake off. Perhaps you're used to putting other people's feelings first and struggle to know what you feel, need or want.
Therapy gives you somewhere to be honest about how things really feel, without needing to have everything worked out first. We can start with what's happening for you now, while making room for earlier experiences and relationships where they become relevant.
I work relationally and integratively, with an interest in your whole experience what you feel emotionally, what you notice in your body, the patterns you find yourself repeating, and the things you sense but can't quite find words for yet.
I have a particular professional interest in bereavement, grief and loss, including losses that aren't always recognised as grief such as relationship endings, estrangement, changes in health or circumstances, and futures that haven't happened as hoped.
Experience
I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor and have experience working with adults across a wide range of emotional, relational and life difficulties.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked with Suicide&Co, providing counselling to people bereaved by suicide. This has contributed to my particular professional interest in grief and loss, including sudden and traumatic bereavement and losses that can be difficult for other people to understand or acknowledge.
I am also the author of Speaking Grief, which explores the experience of bereavement in your 20s and 30s, and creator of the TIME Model of Grief, a non-linear approach to understanding and working with grief through Talking, Integrating, Movement and Expression.
My original training was humanistic-integrative and psychotherapeutic, with a person-centred foundation. I continue to develop my practice through ongoing professional development in areas including grief and bereavement, trauma, attachment, relational and experiential therapy, body-based approaches and parts-informed work.
I also have experience working affirmatively with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients and welcome people with a wide range of identities, backgrounds and experiences.
