About me and my practice
Many of the people I work with come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. They may be carrying trauma, navigating grief, or trying to make sense of a life that no longer feels familiar. My role is to help you find steadiness again to understand whats happening inside you, reconnect with your own inner resources, and move forward with more clarity and self-compassion.
I am an Accredited Pregnancy & Infant Loss Practitioner, offering specialised support for all forms of pregnancy loss. I honour the individuality of each experience, creating a space where your grief, confusion, anger, love, and longing can be expressed without judgement.
My wider counselling experience includes supporting people with overwhelm, stress, anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, social anxiety, identity loss, and the emotional impact of health diagnoses such as cancer. I help clients rebuild confidence, self-worth, and a sense of who they are beyond the roles theyve had to carry.
Working online, I support clients across the UK and internationally, including expats in Europe, the Middle East, and the Gulf Region. Where helpful, I also integrate Bibliotherapy using carefully chosen books and stories to deepen insight, healing, and self-understanding.
You dont need to have everything figured out before you begin. You simply need a place to land. Together, well explore what youre carrying, make sense of your experiences, and help you move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and your own.
If youd like to take the next step or simply ask a few questions, youre welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial assessment. This first conversation helps us understand whether we feel like a good fit and ensures you receive the support thats right for you.
Experience
I have previously worked for a Women's Mental Health Charity providing support at two "drop-in" facilities on a weekly basis, also providing support at three female secure units allowing me to work with women who may feel isolated, afraid, even more anxious in this environment.
I have provided support for a children's bereavement charity in the North West of England. Supporting children who are bereaved by the loss of a relative or friend and including supporting children when parents have experienced pregnancy loss.
Functioning as a family support worker for a national charity I supported families, parent(s) in their own homes. Families could be struggling with a variety of issues including their own mental wellbeing issues, addiction, loneliness, financial constraints etc.
Offering counselling within an organisation which provided general mental health support. This allowed me to work with adult male and females who may have a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, individuals suffering abuse, those who have suffered historical abuse, individuals presenting with anxiety and depression, relationship issues, identity issues, bereavement, long-term health issues etc.
More recently I have provided support as an Oncology Counsellor within a Regional Cancer Unit. This involved providing counselling to individuals who had a cancer diagnosis (working with people who had an initial diagnosis, during their treatment, during surgery, recovery, or those who were receiving palliative care to end of life). I also provided counselling to those who were bereaved due to cancer.
My time on the Cancer Unit also allowed me to engage in Research regarding the impact of Compassion Fatigue for Oncology Counsellors.
In my private practice I work with a range of issues from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, health issues including end of life, abuse, trauma etc.
