I am a counsellor who offers a calm, inclusive space for people navigating the realities of everyday life and emotional wellbeing, whatever their age, background, or beliefs.
My professional background spans counselling, mental health support, education, and organisational settings, including emergency services. Through this work, I have supported children, young people, adults, parents, carers, and professionals from a wide range of lived experiences.
About me and my practice
My experience includes working alongside people who identify as neurodivergent, those who experience the world differently, and those who have spent much of their lives adapting to environments that do not always accommodate them. This breadth allows me to work flexibly and thoughtfully with the real challenges people bring.
I work with individuals only. However, I recognise how deeply family relationships and parentyoung person dynamics can shape emotional wellbeing. I have extensive experience supporting parents and young people separately to explore communication, identity, boundaries, and emotional safety within family contexts, particularly during periods of change, stress, or uncertainty.
As a pluralistic counsellor, I work flexibly using person centred, psychodynamic, and CBT approaches. I also have experience in hypnotherapy, dream work, and spirituality, which I draw on only if this feels helpful and is requested by the client. At the heart of my work is building trust in self. Many people come to counselling feeling disconnected from their own inner understanding, whether this emerges in pre-adolescence or develops over time through adapting to expectations, caring for others, or coping with pressure. Therapy becomes a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what feels true and steady for you.
Clients often tell me they feel met as a whole person rather than judged or analysed. Whether you are a parent, a young person, a professional, or simply seeking space to understand yourself more clearly, I offer a warm, grounded space to explore what matters and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
