About me and my practice
Here at Core Self Counselling, I help adults with anxiety and depression, either online or by telephone. I decided to specialise in narcissism after experiencing it firsthand for many years, so I have inside knowledge of the impact it has on people and families.
I work with you at your speed, confidentially, on the issues you want to address. I will walk alongside you at whatever point you are at in your journey. Experience
I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor and work as a mental health advisor for an accredited Employee Assistance Provider (EAP)/occupational health company. Here, I work on several UK Government contracts mostly with trauma and more complex clients. I also support the EAP side of the business in counselling clients on various contracts and work in private practice under Core Self Counselling.
BACP Registered, I work integratively, regularly using CBT or Solution Focused Brief Therapy with clients and in other types of counselling intervention depending on client need.
I worked for 2 years as a volunteer Counsellor in a local branch of Mind, the mental health charity, while completing my counselling training.

Initial Consultation
The first session would be an relaxed assessment of your mental well-being and for me to take down some personal details and ask you about what you are hoping to achieve from counselling. We will talk about times and days of sessions to be held and I will explain more in depth about how I work. You can get a good idea of whether you think we will be a good fit working together. People do get anxious before the first session if they have not had counselling before, but this usually changes once people feel more comfortable about what's going to happen and my responsibilities as a counsellor.
Fees
My charges are £55.00 per counselling hour.
When I Work
