Beginning counselling can be difficult and challenging, and choosing the right counsellor for you is an important step towards starting that process.
Perhaps you are feeling depressed or anxious and cannot understand why, or maybe youre finding relationships tough to navigate. Sometimes we are unable to understand the difficult feelings we are experiencing and that can feel overwhelming. People seek counselling for different reasons, and I am here to listen to you without judgement or agenda.
About me and my practice
I am an experienced counsellor registered with the BACP, and my approach and core training are psychodynamic. This means that I am interested in you and how you relate to others, your past experiences and how these have shaped who you are today. Our earlier experiences can offer us an insight into understanding ourselves better.
Working with clients weekly, I offer a safe and confidential space where we can explore and try to make sense of your difficult feelings together, and how we might help you to make things more manageable.
I offer long-term and short-term counselling, and this can be either in person face-to-face or on online. We can discuss what might work better for you in your initial consultation.

Experience
My journey into the field of psychodynamic counselling began with a profound curiosity about the human mind and an innate desire to assist others in navigating life's complexities. After completing rigorous training specialising in a psychodynamic approach, I embarked on a path of continuous learning and professional development.
In my practice, I draw heavily from the principles of psychodynamic therapy, a modality rooted in the belief that our past experiences, emotions, and unconscious motivations profoundly influence our present thoughts and behaviours. Through compassionate exploration and reflection, I work collaboratively with my clients to delve into these underlying dynamics, uncovering patterns, and facilitating profound insights which help support growth and change.
Qualifications
I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic counsellor, and my qualifications are accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also adhere to their ethical framework and am continually upgrading my skills and knowledge by meeting the requirements for CPD.

Initial Consultation
I offer a free initial telephone consultation which lasts around 15 minutes. This is a good opportunity for us to become acquainted and to explore your reasons for seeking counselling and how I can help you.
Fees
I offer 50 minute sessions and my fee is £55.00. I accept payment by bank transfer in advance of your session.
Concessionary fees are available but for limited availability.
When I Work
I offer online work alongside my in-person private practice.
