Hi Im Louise and I am a fully qualified BACP registered counsellor. I work with over 18s offering in-person sessions in Wateringbury or at Kingshill both near West Malling in Kent. I also offer online counselling from the comfort of your home from anywhere in the UK, many of my clients find online therapy easier to fit into busy lives.
I offer both short-term focused therapy and longer-term in-depth support.
About me and my practice
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming - whether youre living with anxiety, low self-confidence, feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, or facing relationship, work, or major life changes. I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to talk openly, explore whats going on, and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Alongside my general counselling experience I have specialist training and extensive experience in bereavement and loss through my work with a leading UK bereavement charity and a local hospice. I understand that grief is deeply personal and can affect every part of life. I offer gentle, compassionate support to help you navigate your own path through loss.
My approach is warm, grounded, and empathetic - professional but never clinical - so you can feel at ease being yourself. I listen without judgement and adapt each session to your needs, blending different counselling methods to suit your personality and situation.
Every story is unique, so whatever yours is I am confident we can work together at your pace to help you feel more grounded, understood, and able to move forward.
Experience
I offer general counselling as well as support for bereavement and workplace-related challenges. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in recruitment, which gave me first-hand insight into different working environments, career transitions, and the pressures people face at work.
This experience helps me understand how workplace culture, from high-pressure corporate roles to caring professions, can affect confidence, identity, and wellbeing. I support clients facing career uncertainty, workplace conflict, burnout, or major life changes with empathy and practical understanding.
I also recognise that challenges at work or in daily life often connect to deeper personal issues. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore these and find new ways to restore balance, purpose, and fulfilment

Additional Information
Many of the people I work with really value the flexibility of online sessions, they can connect from their own space, whether thats at home or somewhere they feel calm and comfortable. Online counselling can make it a little easier to fit support into your week and it is as effective as meeting face to face. I have undertaken extensive training in online and telephone therapy and we can meet via MS Teams, Google Meet, or even by phone.
